Cassette Tape Case with Customizable Logos / Album Art
thingiverse
I am offering a variation of my original cassette tape case, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:647517 . This revised version includes customizable album art templates. It is surprising that there is an active community among DIY and underground music labels for releasing cassettes. This design prints well without support structures with a recommended layer height of 0.2mm. I have included two versions, one with a rectangular top insert and the other with a round top insert. To assemble this cassette case, print either LogoCassette1RectangulerHole.stl or LogoCassette1RoundHole.stl, then print LogoCassette2 and LogoCassette3. Using SketchUp, open LogoCassetteTemplate.skp to customize with your band's album art before printing. It is recommended that you use one color for parts 1 and 2, and another color for part 3 and the logos. The pictures of the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon logos are only included as examples of what can be done. However, I do not own the copyright to that album art and therefore cannot include it here. If you choose to customize or remix this cassette case, please acknowledge this file as the source and follow the Creative Commons - Attribution - Share Alike rules. Before attempting to print this design, ensure your printer is well-calibrated. The parts are designed to fit snugly together. I recommend using a calibration tool, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:342198/#instructions . I would like to extend my thanks and credit to my friend Austin Gaines for coming up with the idea of creating this cassette case variation. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:647517
