Casio SE-G1 Cash Register Till Drawer Key
thingiverse
Picked up this till or cash register if you're not from the UK like me :P, with a missing drawer key that someone had cleverly wedged into place, allowing it to work but leaving it unlocked. Replacement keys can be pricey, especially considering what they are, so I searched for an image of the key online and uploaded it to a converter that turned it into a 3D model. After some trial and error with the dimensions, I finally came up with a working key. A thicker top on the key works best as it's more durable and feels less likely to snap in half. These keys can be printed using PLA but you may only get a few turns out of them before they break apart, so try not to break it while it's locked inside. Ideally, these keys should be printed using PETG or ABS, with ABS being a pain to print, in my opinion. I used PETG with no major issues. I recommend printing the key with 100% infill and using your slicer's strongest pattern, which I achieved by using Cura with the cubic pattern for added strength.
