Cash Credit Card Emergency Lockbox
thingiverse
I designed this with emergency funds or credit cards in mind, thinking it should be easy to insert cash and cards but very hard to retrieve them for use. The inside lips prevent items from coming back out, making it a secure container. To add extra security, you could superglue it or drill a hole at the end and install a luggage-style padlock. To save print time, I was initially going to make holes on the face, but I wanted to keep credit card numbers hidden. Printing in its current form will take some time. If you use supports, clean-up would be considerable. Feel free to improve this design; ideally, contents should only be accessible after physically breaking it open. This would encourage users to think twice before using it, making it a great option for giving to teenagers as an emergency fund. For beginners like me, I uploaded different files from Cura and Fusion 360, unsure which is best. In Fusion 360, I couldn't find the "save or export" .stl file option; please let me know the preferred file format for uploading to Thingiverse from Fusion 360.
