So many HP-01s have damage to the caseback from botched battery replacements using metal tools. There is never a reason to use metal tools on the back of the watch casing, plastic tools are durable and will not scratch the watch if they slip.If you own a HP-01, I highly recommend printing this caseback opener and leaving it permanently with the watch, so that wherever the watch goes, nobody will be tempted to use metal tools for a battery replacement ever again.Versions:caseback-opener.stl: The standard non-embossed version. Use if you have bed adhesion issues or you just don't like the text and arrows.caseback-opener_embossed.stl: This version has text and arrows embossed in the first layer (0.20mm). This can be left as-is, filled with filler paint, or filled with a different filament during a multi-material print.caseback-opener_embossed_filler.stl: The inverse of the embossing, for use in a multi-material print to fill the embossing with a different colour.Printing:I recommend printing with a layer height of 0.2mm or less, 0.12mm works great. If using the embossed stl, the first layer height should be set to 0.20mm as this is the depth of the embossing.PLA, ABS, and non-filled Nylon are all great materials for the tool.Print the top and bottom surfaces with the Archimedean Chords surface pattern, or the Concentric surface pattern, to achieve a clean circular finish.
