So I recently got my hands on a Lenovo P2 smartphone and it's an absolute powerhouse - just Google it to see what all the fuss is about. This isn't a tech review, though. My main issue with this phone has been finding decent cases that fit its sleek design. Since it's a relatively new model and not exactly a top-of-the-line flagship, I've had to look elsewhere for quality case options. That's when I turned to 3D printing. A quick Google search led me straight to a template created by Marijn van den Heuvel on GrabCAD - you can find it at https://grabcad.com/library/lenovo-p2-case-1. I downloaded the STL file and imported it into Blender, opting for something simple and fast so I could get a test print up quickly and check if the case fit perfectly. As I was working on this project, I couldn't help but think of Matthew 6:34 - "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." It's a verse that's stuck with me over the years and always seems to apply when tackling new challenges. Vincent set up his maker space at Falana Films studio and printed out my design on his Makerbot - it turned out in dual colors, which was a nice touch. I left the color selection up to him, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. How I Designed This I used Blender to create the design based on Marijn van den Heuvel's STL base mesh from GrabCAD. The Blender file is included - feel free to delete this text if you don't need it. The text itself was created in Inkscape, and I've also included the SVG file for anyone who wants to use it.
