This is a portable 3D printer. Carry it with one hand, anywhere you want. You don't have to fit it in a suitcase, actually it's one. The folding and unfolding procedure is eye-blinkingly fast. Here are my specific targets: 1. Easy to build from scratch, no need for specific hard-to-find aluminum extrusions. 2. Affordable, under $300. 3. As simple as possible, with as few parts as possible. Up to now, there are more than 40 case-raps around the world. Two years ago, I tried a Kickstarter campaign. My aim was to get money to invest in this project, but I didn't reach my target, so I got $0... You'll see the "outdated" Kickstarter video in the links. Then, I put it on Pinshape... I sold my design for $26. At first, some people bought it, but now nobody wants it anymore. So, I decided to open-source it back. As I worked hard to get this printer where it is now, I'd appreciate tips, but they're not mandatory. You can download it, print it, build it, and use it. You can modify it, publish your modifications, and tell the source. You can't sell it; non-commercial only. There's a small update called Cas-Rap 5.1: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3370168 Here are some other links: The building instructions: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y-3R-m18U3UdnwEQelUpAg4mGpOAPGpT8YfpPk8awg0/edit Some videos, some in French (I'd have to translate them!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bf7uXg3lzJg https://youtu.be/M3sGbSVvW8o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rg7e7HtUI50&t=7s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNJr-ywiFSM
