Case-rap 4.0 x-axis group with 8mm z-drive
thingiverse
I upgraded jlguil's x-axis idler and motor mount design to use 8mm threaded rods and nuts for improved ease of sourcing in the Netherlands, where metric parts are widely available. By doing so, I was able to fit all necessary components seamlessly into place. After printing my revised assembly, a thorough test fitting confirmed its effectiveness with the 8mm threaded rod system. However, on a personal note, I still have some reservations about the necessity of the anti-backlash setup for Z-axis operation in this particular instance, but I'm convinced it will provide added stability when the case is transported in transport mode.
