TeachingTech designed an excellent replacement case for the Ender 3 printer, which allowed me to easily swap out the Raspberry Pi and other electronics. I opted to use the MKS Gen L board, but first, I created some custom plugs to cover up the unused Raspberry Pi cutout and non-MKS board SD card slot so that the fan could draw air across the stepper drivers as intended. To ensure a precise fit, I used the case pieces to shape these parts. The original file still works fine, but I made a few tweaks to make the plugs easier to print, simplify the SD card plug installation, and secure the Pi hole plug in place more effectively.
