I acquired several of these sensors and they are excellent, but they have a minor defect: the screen angle is subpar. When placed upright on a table or laid flat on their back, the screen appears almost black. To get a clear reading, you need to position them at an approximate 45-degree incline. This prompted me to design a custom case, allowing for easy temperature monitoring. Fortunately, this design requires no rafts or supports and prints flawlessly at 0.2mm resolution. Although the fit is somewhat snug, once secured in place, the sensor remains stable and won't fall out. However, it can be challenging to remove the sensor if your printer's tolerance isn't identical to mine, resulting in a very tight fit. To resolve this issue, you might need to increase the slicer tolerance by 1% or more. Update: After constructing the case, I encountered another problem – the sensor lacked airflow. To address this, I created an opening for ventilation. Although the initial readings were slightly off (approximately 1 degree higher than expected), they were still relatively accurate. Once I added the ventilation, the sensor performed as intended, providing precise temperature readings.
