Case for Voice parrot BX-184M (Radio microphone)
thingiverse
This is a custom enclosure designed specifically for the voice recorder module BX-184M by DH8BQA, intended to replace the electronics in a MH-31 microphone. A huge thank you goes out to Heartman, the creator of the excellent Ultimate Box Maker, whose design was used as the foundation for this project. By using this enclosure, users gain several key features: * Connect an external headset directly to their radio * Activate the parrot function (a convenient feature, obviously) * Possibility to connect an external PPT button or foot switch The setup has been thoroughly tested with a FT-817 and a Sennheiser Headset. BOM (Bill of Materials) Summary: * 1x BX-184M module (available for purchase at funkamateur.de) * 4x Buttons (e.g. SCI R13-24A1-05 RD) * 2x Audio connectors, 3.5 mm mono * 2x Audio connectors, 3.5 mm stereo (stereo might work as well) * 7x short M2 screws * Various cables and connectors (JST-XH from a kit used in this project) * This custom enclosure The openSCAD file is included for easy modifications to the box design. Please forgive any ugliness or modifications made to the original Ultimate Box Maker code.
