Human: Summary This is a case for the Velleman Pocket VU Meter Kit MK115 (http://www.velleman.co.uk/contents/en-uk/p41.html) To make use of it, you need to modify the kit slightly in two ways. Firstly, you must solder the LEDs 12mm above the PCB, rather than flush as shown in the kit photos and instructions. Secondly, cut through one of the copper tracks on the PCB from the battery terminal so that a push switch can be added in series with the battery. This is optional but recommended to prevent the battery draining all the time. Simply solder the switch wires across the cut you make. I used a small momentary push switch from RS with a 6mm threaded shank, which fit perfectly through the hole in the case and didn't interfere with any internal components. I have included an alternative version of the case without the switch hole for those who don't want to add the switch. The lid screws are No4 Self-Tapping screws, which need to be screwed in gently to avoid cracking the plastic as they cut their own thread. The trimmer shaft protrudes through the lid only slightly and will need to be adjusted using long-nose pliers or tweezers. It shouldn't require adjusting often.
