Case for simple QRP Endfed Transformer
thingiverse
A DIY Guide for a Basic QRP Broadband Transformer on a Half Wave End Fed Antenna for the 11m Band. You will need a half wave end fed antenna for this project, specifically one that's about 95% of Lambda/2 long in terms of wire length. Don't forget to incorporate an active balun directly into your coax around 1-2 meters away from the transformer itself and right up against the TRX equipment. This helps block out stray high-frequency radiation entering your operating station and uses the coax cable as part of the ground. Additional Resources: A detailed CAD model has been created using Meshmixer which can be imported to support holes as needed. Mounting Instructions: For optimal structural integrity, consider securing the top with three M3 screws. Just make sure to pre-drill holes into the plastic casing before doing so. Printing Settings: Printer Brand - Ultimaker Model/Printer Name - Ultimaker 2 Raft Settings: Print Without Raft Support Material Required Resolution: For Best Results: 0.15mm layer thickness is recommended.
