Case for Raspberry Pi 4
thingiverse
The Raspberry Pi 4 quickly overcooks during normal operation and slows its own pace, so we crafted a Raspberry Pi 3D printed case supporting a cooling fan and some other cool features. To view the complete write-up of this case, check out our blog post: https://www.219design.com/cool-your-raspberry-pi-3d-printed-case/ Here’s where you can buy a compatible fan: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3368 Our case is designed for two modes. Desktop Mode: If the Raspberry Pi 4 is primarily used as a PC, then the lid fits flush to the shell of the case for a sleek, enclosed cooling module. Development Mode: If you are going to use the Raspberry Pi as a development board, like an Arduino, then you’ll want easy access to the board’s pins. The lid spins 180 degrees and stands off the bottom shell, leaving a gap for wires, but still protects and cools the board. In addition to the design touches, our case successfully serves the primary function of cooling a Pi 4 with snap fits to hold a 30mm Pi fan. The Raspberry Pi 4 stays cool without throttling during our stress tests. Also note, the Pi stayed cool without heatsinks. Save a few bucks and skip the heatsinks! Made by 219 Design 219design.com
