Case for Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. Intended screws for attaching the board to the case are thread-forming screws PT K25, with nominal diameter of 2.5mm and length of 7mm. This project optimized a case for Raspberry Pi 2, designed for injection moulding with simple 2-part moulding tool requirements. Key assembly features include: * Board connection to the case using thread-forming screws * Design for easy assembly and disassembly * Ability to withstand static load of 20kg without deformation exceeding 1mm * Mass less than 70g * Cases must be able to stack on each other Calculations were made for all joints, analysis of injection moulding was performed, and the design of the moulding tool was completed. My design offers several advantages. The invisible line between two parts is a notable feature, with the force applied to the top of the case transmitted through ribs directly to the legs without affecting the board or bottom part. A snap fit enables quick and easy assembly and disassembly. The 3D printed version has some differences due to material constraints. The top was made flat, and certain parts were thickened (mainly ribs) for improved printability. The position of slots on the bottom part was adjusted to accommodate ribbon cable routing for the camera. Minor adjustments were also made for better print quality. This case can be printed without support material, despite containing tricky bridges and thin parts. Some areas may require filing or sanding for a precise fit, particularly around USB connectors. Note that the intended gap between the case and table is 1mm, allowing air circulation from below and preventing ribbon cable obstruction.
