Case for mahjong set (CAD included)
thingiverse
I have an old "high class mahjong tiles" (高級麻雀牌) Japanese riichi mahjong set whose storage box was falling apart (only partially the fault of my dog's puppy teething phase) so I made this as a replacement. It holds not only the tiles that came with the set, but also some custom trays I made for holding point sticks and a compass (I may share those designs separately later). The trays it's designed to fit are from the original set, sized 176mm × 111mm × 19mm each, for mahjong tiles that are 24mm tall. It just fits the 4 of those, 2 same-sized trays for the point sticks, and a compass plus side tray to hold the dice and some spare sticks. This is a pretty big print for the Neptune 3 Pro—it took about 26 hours for the "front" portion, 48 hours for the "back" portion, and a little extra for the latch pieces and hinge pins. In total it was about ¾ of a 1kg roll of filament. The handles are some cheap canvas/cotton webbing straps I bought on Amazon and sewed on by hand. Be wary of warping along the hinges of the "front" piece. One of the corners warped on mine and I had to touch up my print using a soldering iron to be able to fit the hinge pin into the hole. Both the back and front pieces should be oriented with the big flat side down so there's minimal overhang.
