Case for LT1083 linear regulator module
thingiverse
This is a case for using LT1083 linear regulator module kits available on eBay - specifically [here](https://www.ebay.com/itm/LT1083CP-Linear-Adjustable-Voltage-Buck-HIFI-Regulated-DC-Power-Supply-DIY-Kits/112019068775) or [here](https://www.ebay.com/itm/1PC-High-LT1083CP-PRO-HIFI-Linear-adjustable-regulated-DC-Power-Supply-DIY-Kits/232432764581). Similar linear regulator modules may work if PCB size and screw holes are identical. To build this project, you'll need two PG7 cable glands and four M3 screws (the same kind used to secure drives in computer cases). Cable glands secure cables at the ends; screws hold the PCB inside the case. Alternatively, I've uploaded versions with different input hole sizes for 5.5mm sockets instead of a cable gland. However, these versions haven't been tested - it's unclear if they're sized correctly or if there's enough clearance between socket and PCB. All versions still use a cable gland on the output side. To power this module, you'll need an AC adapter, cabling, and connectors suitable for your application. Standard disclaimer applies: use at your own risk. I'm not responsible for harm or damage caused by using or misusing this project, LT1083 modules, equipment, or parts connected to it.
