Case for Led Strip for Glass Planter
thingiverse
So I got this heavy and large glass vase that serves as a planter on my balcony, and since I found those extremely affordable WS2812b strips at https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32682015405.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.697c4c4dHCVJzU with prices of approximately 4 cents per LED, it was easy to simply give it a try and see how the glass would look with some illumination. A NodeMCU controls the LEDs so the colors float between blue and aqua, but just taping the LED strip to the back of the glass left me wanting more - it was just bright colored spots on mostly black. So I designed a tiny case for the strip which has two planes of material on one side and acts as a diffuser. It looked much better now, but the case had a tendency to always fall to the back. So I designed a holder for it. I printed it in transparent.
