Case for Flipsky Dual FSESC6.6 Plus
thingiverse
This is a challenge for the Flipsky Dual FSESC6.6 Plus. It's engineered to attach to two of the mounting bolts for a skateboard truck, (mountainboard or standard). Suggestions are welcome; feedback is loved and I'm still learning OpenSCAD. This design is also highly inefficient; there must be better ways of building it so that the render happens much faster, but I don't know how at the moment. If any OpenSCAD experts can comment, I'd appreciate it. UPDATE: 2019/09/19 - The screw holes were removed as they weren't a good idea, (my printer's tolerances aren't tight enough and the holes mostly filled in), now ball-shaped indents/protrusions are being used as a way of snap-together closure. This will likely be revised again after testing this weekend with printed parts. Update 2: 2019/11/14 - Several places where math wasn't done correctly were found and cleaned up, some code was improved. Switched from PETG to eSun ABS+, (prints at 100mm/sec on my printer, much easier to version rev with half the print time). Since the ABS still warps a tiny bit and I may be slightly over-extruding, a "kerf" value had to be added to the lid <-> base interface. If your lid meshes very loosely reduce this value for the lid and re-print to get a tighter fit. For me, the values used gave an almost perfect highly solid locking action without breaking off the nubs that interlock the two parts. This isn't so much a remix as a ground-up redesign of [thing:3695975](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3695975) in OpenSCAD. My power switch was larger than the hole provided and I wanted to make the entire enclosure taller, as well as add cutouts for the hall sensor wires, specifically so they wouldn't run parallel to the phase wires out the back of the enclosure. In addition, a cutout for my Heltec-based Firefly Nano Remote receiver was added. This case is very far from waterproof, or even water-resistant, so you'll want to start by adding a conformal coating to the FSESC board to protect from shorts. I will be using a brush-on silicone coating product.
