Case for dual channel relay (SRA-05VDC-CL)

thingiverse

Simple setup for dual-channel relay board. This is a low-cost Chinese unbranded board with two SRA-05VDC-CL relays that can be controlled by 5v via Raspberry Pi and handle up to 20A. On the board, there are exposed contacts, so I designed and printed this case to prevent short circuits. Attached to this board is a single 12v/55Ah battery and a battery pack with 12v/51Ah. This setup will likely generate considerable current flow, making it crucial to avoid any chance of shorting. Using fuses is essential. I use the relay to switch between the batteries since they have different ages and manufacturers, causing them to charge or discharge at varying rates. Hooking them up in parallel could damage one or both batteries. The two parts hold together somewhat, but unlike my previous designs for cases like this, there are no clips or retaining mechanisms. A little duct tape should do the trick.
