Case for Doogee S60 --------------------------- Fed up with the shortcomings of built-in software in motorbike navigation systems, I decided to try a smartphone. The Doogee S60 looked like a good candidate: waterproof, bright display for full sun light, and battery that lasts a whole day of riding. However, due to weight and odd shape, I had difficulties mounting it to my motorbike confidently without losing it on the way. So, I designed my own case and bolted a RAM mount (RAM-B-347U) on the back to mount it on the bike. The two parts of the case are held together by reusable cable ties, which works like a treat and allows getting the phone out for charging easily. As the riding season is coming to an end here in Germany, I made some test rides, but so far I'm happy with it. Time will tell what UV light does to the case in the long run. Printing ---------- I used PETG (Innofil3D pet-0307) to print it. Printing should be easy (no supports needed), though PETG has a tendency for stringing, as shown on the photos. I printed at 20% infill and used modifier STL files (_x.stl) with 100% infill, although I don't think that's really required.
