The Alarm Badge Housing Project My alarm badge broke off its keychain attachment and I needed a new home for it. To solve this problem, I designed and printed a custom case that fits perfectly around the badge. The design consists of two main parts glued together to form a snug compartment. A small hole in one side allows me to reattach the badge to my keys. This solution was quick and easy to implement. Print Details Printer: Hobbyking Fabrikator Raft Support: Yes, but not necessary for this print. Resolution: 0.2mm layer height Infill Percentage: 15% Printing Experience The print itself had no major issues. I used a glue stick to secure it to the print bed and didn't encounter any problems with rafts or support material. Design Process I used 123D to create my design from scratch. First, I drew a hemisphere with a radius of 21mm and set its height to 6mm. Next, I added a cylinder with a radius of 1.5mm and a height of 6.5mm. Finally, I extruded the hemisphere with the cylinder in place, ensuring it aligned perfectly.
