Update: The final version is a perfect balance of handling multiple badge holder types while being reliable, with threading wires being the only difficult part. However, it's still very dependable when done properly - just thread the wires through and bend them to create a solid contact. This is an ideal project for White LED Backlight Module - Large 45mm x 86mm. You can find more information on this product at http://www.adafruit.com/products/1621, or refer to the datasheet at http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/KWB-R8445W-1W.pdf. I'm thrilled to be trying out my first 3D print design for these nametags, using LED Backlight Modules as they are a great idea for a custom project like this. Threading wires remains a challenging task but the good news is that it still turns out well when done right. This holder is specifically designed for CR2032 battery size and I'm looking forward to trying it out with more improvements in the future. Print Settings Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: It doesn't really matter which option you choose. Supports: Yes, I definitely recommend using supports during this print process. Notes: One thing I'm not entirely sure about is what printing settings work best. If you want to print with the battery facing down, you might end up getting unwanted supports on that side; it might be better to try face down or do some testing of your own (yet). How I Designed This I started off by consulting the data sheet for accurate dimensions. My initial idea was simple - just stick the battery on the back and call it a day, but it ended up evolving over time as I thought through the possibilities of custom design and creativity.
