Just in time for Christmas, the final update to our Halloween project has been released. A case for Adafruit's Animated Eyes Bonnet for Raspberry Pi using the US-100 is now available. The need for level shifters is eliminated with this new design. The case can mount either a Pi Zero or a full-sized Raspberry Pi on its front inside face or inside bottom, providing flexibility in setup. The US-100 sensor mounts through the front of the case, allowing it to be placed in a dark location and triggered by a programmable distance. The fourth generation of the case for Adafruit's Animated Eyes Bonnet for Raspberry Pi offers an interchangeable solution to protect TFT screens. An example cover is provided that works with any 40MM round cover, including AdaFruit's glass lens (https://www.adafruit.com/product/3853) and plastic lens (https://www.adafruit.com/product/3917). To prevent light leakage around the edges, it is recommended to mask the TFT with tape or dark construction paper.
