Case for 5" LCD panel DIY tv/monitor
thingiverse
Given a 5" LCD panel and driver board, I decided to create a simple case; it's not super refined but does the job efficiently. It should fit most or all 5" LCD panels, such as those available from Adafruit. For example, you can put together this kit: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1678 The LCD panel is positioned up front; the LCD frame has a bevel on the inside to support the LCD and keep the viewing area in place. There's a cutout on the side for your driver board's input ports, including HDMI, VGA, composite, power, etc. I didn't make specific port cutouts as that would have taken too much time; honesty counts. You'll find various driver boards available, such as USB power, DC Barrel jack power, and numerous possible input signals. There's also a cutout on top for a common set of button strips I've seen; some might fit perfectly, while others may require minor adjustments to fit depending on the ribbon cable placement.
