Case for 3 Inch Parallels
thingiverse
Case with lid for the 4x 3" parallels kit from Little Machine Shop (LMS). Item number 2924. Attach M4 screws and TAP the lower part of the case thoroughly. Then screw button head M4x20 screws securely into place to provide a sturdy hinge. You may need to drill a 4mm hole through the hinge on the lid for optimal fit. The snaps shut tightly when closed. I printed this item in ABS plastic using my Flashforge Creator Pro and Flashprint software, with 0.25mm compensation applied to internal diameters to ensure accurate results. Fortunately, no support material was needed during the printing process. Update: I've made additional clearance around the parallels to account for shrinkage that can occur when printing with ABS. To create a strong thread in the base for the hinge, use a M4 Tap to cut a thread into place.
