I redesigned the Paslode case clips to prevent them from falling off and getting lost on job sites. Replacing them can cost up to $20 USD, so I took matters into my own hands. Using Tinkercad, I replicated the original clip's design. The new clips hold tighter than their predecessors, likely due to the reduced curvature. I deliberately avoided incorporating this feature in order to streamline the design. PETG was my material of choice for printing the replacement clips. This is because a hot day could cause PLA prints to warp significantly, and ABS, although widely used, lacks the chemical resistance of PETG. Support structures are necessary where the hinge overhangs, as any droopiness in this area will compromise the part's performance. The model's print orientation remains unchanged.
