Casa de Tucumán, Independencia Argentina
thingiverse
Work done for the #independencia3d contest organized by Printalot. The work resulted as winner of the Libre category. The work deals simply with the central facade of Tucumán's house in which I altered and maximized those traits that remained in my memory since childhood, tried to respect each form of the facade and its moldings. Also, I added as base to the Republic of Argentina with a system of fitting with a gap of 0.15mm to each edge (0.30mm total in X and Y) so as not to have to work later on. Also, I added flags with fitting in the facade, with a gap of 0.15mm (with less tolerance for size reasons), I also attached the flagpoles as separate pieces (these must be glued). About the printing mode: Presented the pieces in the X and Y planes in the position that I considered most convenient. The house presents itself lying down to avoid the overhangs from falling and thus not using supports. It should be noted that with a very low layer height, better definitions can be achieved in the shield (given its subtle reliefs). The flags must be printed with great care (they are the most complex pieces), I oriented them to two different printing positions, which I considered more convenient (each one chooses), soportes can be used, although it would be fantastic to achieve without them, I think it's possible!! Another very important thing about the work is that it was thought for printers that at least have a working area of 220x220mm, the work can scale up to more- without problems, but scaling down may generate problems in printing the flag and its fitting (by its wall thickness), to scale down you would have to change the nozzle's mouthpiece to a smaller one (less than 0.4). Also, I added the work divided into halves for those who have smaller printers. I did not add the grills due to time constraints, I feel a little frustrated about that. On the other hand, I thought that since it was about independence, of becoming independent, in reality, it's not so bad that there aren't any.
