The Caryatid Carrying a Stone was likely crafted as far back as 1881. In 1886, it made its debut as a standalone piece in the Gallery Georges Petit. Antoinette Le Norman-Romain claims that it wasn't incorporated into The Gates of Hell until around 1889-90, perched atop the left-hand pilaster. This object is part of Scan The World, a non-profit project initiated by MyMiniFactory to build a digital library of fully printable 3D sculptures and artworks from worldwide locations for public access at no cost.
