This intricately carved stone orb boasts four ornate knobs found in a lush field nestled between New Scone and Murrayshall, Perthshire, Scotland during the early 19th century and proudly displayed at Perth Museum since its donation in 1832. Dating back to the late Neolithic era (circa 3100-2500 BC), it stands as an exceptionally ornate specimen. Three knobs showcase a complex lattice of etched lines, while the fourth knob boasts five parallel etched lines. Dots adorn one of the spaces between the knobs.
