Sixty Knobbed masterfully crafted stone orb created from fine-grained oolitic limestone, reportedly unearthed on Rannoch Moor in Perthshire around 1981. Obtained through the Treasure Trove system in 1996. Dating back to the Late Neolithic period, approximately 3200-2500 BC. Measuring eighty millimeters in diameter and weighing three hundred forty-four grams. This remarkable artifact is proudly showcased at the Perth Museum and Art Gallery. Accession number PM 1996.745. Carefully recreated by Dr. Hugo Anderson-Whymark using two hundred six high-quality images taken with a Canon 70D camera equipped with a sixty millimeter macro lens.
