First of all, I want to extend my thanks to @aref_naa for creating the initial pieces. However, they had inaccurately proportioned rear sides and promoted faces. I discovered how to rectify this issue and here are the corrected results. The collection also features both kings and a golden set, although unfortunately, I lacked images of them. They didn't require corrections. To create these pieces, I utilized them as the foundation for designing a unique shogi set that utilizes colored pieces with distinctive inscriptions. To correct the rear sides of the pieces, I started by replacing them with flat surfaces. Next, I crafted an SVG drawing using Inkscape. That file was then imported into Blender, resulting in a smooth curve. To give it substance, I added thickness to the design and transformed it into a mesh. Finally, I used the Boolean modifier to carve out the symbol using difference.
