Cartridge S.A. 5.56X45mm NATO with 77gr AP Projectile

This upload is a U.S. 5.56X45mm NATO imperial pattern brass cartridge case loaded with a custom designed 77grain [5gram] full metal jacketed - rebated boat tail armour piercing projectile.The jacket is made from cupronickel alloy, the WHA core is a tungsten-iron-nickel alloy, and the aft spacer is aluminium 6061-T6 [NOTE: The hole in the spacer is not for fitting tracer elements, it is to shift the center of mass while reducing the overall mass to 77gr]. The AP core and the inside mating face needs to have an interference fit allocated, both applicable dimensions are nominal.This is another basic projectile design that I did over the course of the weekend to aid others in developing their own projectile designs. This projectile is fully serviceable however if you do want to produce these parts, tolerances and allowances will need to be introduced where absent.
