Cartoon creators know that exporting a wrapped object from Maya into an FBX file is easy to do - simply navigate to File > Export Selection and choose FBX(*fbx) from the list of available formats. In order for the object to be exportable in its current state, however, all MAX settings need to be removed or deselected first, otherwise a conversion error will occur when exporting the file as an FBX.
