This is a centre axis design specifically tailored for use in X/Y Cartesian 3D printers similar to the Ultimaker. The centre axis features an innovative mechanism designed to hold two LM8UU or similar linear bearings along each direction of travel, creating a smooth ride on an 8mm CNC shaft that provides precise positioning control throughout all operations. In addition to the linear bearing design, I have incorporated a sleigh mechanism into both X and Y directions to work in tandem with the central axis, facilitating quick transitions between different axes with minimum downtime due to synchronization needs - ensuring fast movement while reducing stress on motor bearings resulting in quieter operation. To join timing belt and shaft together for seamless travel throughout operations a lightweight yet strong aluminium bracket was used providing even pressure to keep belts aligned consistently maintaining smooth continuous motion without compromising reliability at any point during print cycles
