Cartesian flying extruder
pinshape
This design targets crane-style 3D printers, aiming to position the extruder as closely as possible to the hotend while reaping the benefits of direct drive. It achieves fast movement despite the motor's weight being offset by a second arm. To function, only one X-axis motor needs to be located on the arm carrying the hotend, and the second arm can operate without belts. Essential components include various Openbuilds parts, wheels, and plates, along with the Bontech BMG.
