Cartesian Coordinate System Board, XY System, Plotting, Graphing
cults3d
We live in a 3D world (perhaps more), but when teaching mathematics, we spend a lot of time discussing 2D models. The Cartesian System is one such model that students want to explore further. They need to understand how points, lines, and curves are plotted on this system. This plotting board has been created at the request of math teachers who wanted a hands-on way for their students to visualize these concepts. Measuring approximately 124 mm by 124 mm, the board features pins covering each quadrant and the x- and y- axes. There are two versions of this board: mesh and solid. The mesh version has less warping due to the space inside its structure. In contrast, the solid version tends to warp around the corners, which is why small cuts were made to prevent further distortion.
