Carrying case for Olympus TG-6

The TG-6 is a “tough” camera but I still like to protect it from dust and knocks. This case can be mounted on your pants-belt and can hold the camera with a wide angle lens attached. There is also a space for an extra battery.

Other compact cameras might fit into this case as well.

Printed in TPU, so it is somewhat flexible and soft and doesn't hurt on the hips or if you brush your hand / skin against it. The lid hinges and is held in place with 2 screws (M4) and it allows the wrist-strap to hang out so the camera can easily be pulled out of the case. I use velcro, glued to the TPU, to keep the lid closed when needed. An embossed description is printed in the lid.

Printing advice: Most of the case is easy to print, except - maybe - for the belt-loops. I printed mine without support because TPU-supports are often difficult to remove. On hindsight it might be better to use a small support there because it will keep the somewhat loose loop straight while being printed. In my case it “drooped” a bit inwards. It was still usable but less nice. As it is mostly out of view behind the belt I did not mind.

I print on glass, covered with Kapton tape, 50 degrees. Hot-end (direct drive) on 230 degrees, max. 40% cooling, around 30 mm/sec.

For the lid, do not use supports, the embossed letters are only 2 layers deep and easily bridged without drooping.
