Basic yet time-honored game equipment, the carrom board is a compact wooden board measuring six by three feet, used to play the classic outdoor tabletop striking game of carrom. It features a flat rectangular surface divided into various squares marked in red with black outlines for two different types of pucks. Players compete using wooden pucks and a striker made from wood or plastic that they hit to get points by shooting pucks on a bed, which then fall inside goals at the sides or corners of the board, ultimately resulting in high scores when several are caught together inside one of those goals. The carrom game can also be played indoors, specifically where there's sufficient space to lay down this special board and engage participants, as the action of pushing a striker around, attempting accurate shots and capturing items all comes naturally while having lots to share and learn from one another within group settings like community halls, parks or backyards.
