Carrier to carry the Printrbot
thingiverse
For individuals carrying a Printrbot, I designed a carrier. Although small and lightweight, the Printrbot's stiff components - the bases connected by rods - make transportation slightly inconvenient. To address this, two versions of the carrier are available: one to mount externally if the rods are long enough ("Carrier outside") and another for shorter rods that require internal mounting ("Carrier inside"). A 4 mm x 55 screw or threaded rod is needed for fastening. If assembling after the bases are already assembled, use an endstop holder cut off its bar (as I did with yellow ones) or a "Rod Clamp" to lock the carrier in place. Additionally, you can attach a vertical rod and a fan using the grip's threaded rod, as shown on the left side. For printing, I used 5 perimeters and 20% infill. I've also added files for download: "Carrier outside.FCStd," "Carrier inside.FCStd," and "grip.FCStd," all created with FreeCAD, a free software available at sourceforge.net/projects/free-cad/.
With this file you will be able to print Carrier to carry the Printrbot with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Carrier to carry the Printrbot.
