A Monroe models L and LA mechanical calculator's carriage pawl is part of its zero-setting mechanism, enabling adjustment for both upper and lower banks of digit dials. Its function is to prevent the opposite bank from turning when one bank is being set to zero. To obtain this component, download carriage-pawl-outline.dxf and carriage-pawl-reveng.scad files in the same directory, then utilize OpenSCAD for rendering. Expect a small part that may need zooming. The dimensions are in inches; export as STL or download carriage-pawl-reveng.stl for 3D printing at Shapeways or similar services, but ensure choosing metal due to the need to bend tabs.
