Carrera Guardrail Posts

I wanted guardrails on which I could put track and driver sponsorships just like at real tracks. The guardrails are PVC foam architectural pieces available for sale at most big box lumber hardware outlets like Lowes, Home Depot, etc. in the lumber/trim department. What I specifically used is called Royal Building Products 1/4-in x 1-1/2-in x 8-ft White PVC Lattice Divider. It comes in 8 foot lengths for around $10. It is light and flexy and holds tightly to the curves as a result. I was worried at first that the springiness would overwhelm my posts but they are intact as depicted in these photos after many months of use. Sticker Mule will let you purchase a ten pack of labels in any dimension you design and embellished however you want for a very reasonable price. I decided on a European GTR or F1 motif and threw our law firm in there as a sponsor (tax deduction, anyone?)There are three versions of the posts/stanchions: regular, with a hole for mounting to your track base, and for elevated portions of the track. The stanchions slide over the guardrails rather than snapping on, but they snap onto the track from underneath.
