Carrera ASW 17 RC Glider 320cm Version Bottomplate
thingiverse
This is a STL file designed specifically for the Carrera ASW17 320cm version vintage glider's bottom plate. If you want to preserve your original mounting plate, simply print this one instead and secure it with 3 mm nuts and bolts. The holes on the bottom plate are 2 mm in diameter; you can easily drill them up to 3 mm if needed. The bottom plate itself is 2 mm thick and features a streamlined design without pillars. Since they're not necessary, I opted to exclude them from this version. However, I will be releasing an alternative version with pillars for those who prefer screwing the bottom plate into place. For now, I recommend using long 3mm bolts and locknuts to firmly attach it to the fuselage. To maximize stability, I've limited the use of holes on the bottom plate to just two: the middle and back ones. If you're interested in exploring more vintage glider designs, be sure to check out my STL file for the Carrera Trimmy/ASW17 (220cm) – it features a servoholder compatible with 2 standard servos, measuring 40mm x 20mm, like Futaba's 3001 model. With a diverse fleet of vintage gliders under my belt, including Carrera (9), Multiplex (3), Robbe (1), Aviomodelli (1), and Graupner (2) models, I continue to design 3D parts for replacement or to spare the original components. Your feedback is essential; please like this bottom plate and report back when you put it to use!
