Carrack Class Transporter

The Carrack class of transporters is designed specifically for small trading vessels, perfect for new captains of the Trading Guild who need to transport goods over medium length hops efficiently. Built with steam turbines instead of old-fashioned coal engines, these vessels represent a major leap forward in technology, but also come with their own set of risks. Unfortunately, the Trading Guild failed to warn its new captains about the dangers of traveling too far from home, particularly into the rural islands where steam turbines were still untested and prone to breakdowns. As a result, one of these transporters was captured by an unknown party after a fierce battle, and brought back to the Deep Ocean Orders R&D facility for dissection. The engineers were able to strip it down and learn valuable lessons about building more reliable steam turbines, but this initial mistake would come back to haunt the Trading Guild in the long run.
