Bedrock on private farmland near Carr Edge, Frankham Fell, north of Fourstones, Northumberland, reveals a stunning array of ancient carvings. According to the Beckensall Archive (BA), this outcrop edge boasts 16 large and small cups, some with an oval shape that hints at their craftsmanship. A subsequent reference by NADRAP added the carving "Carr Hill d" to ERA in 2008, where it's described as an outcrop featuring many cups, including four of a reasonable size alongside smaller ones that may be natural or eroded over time. For more information on this incredible discovery, visit ERA & BA info at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=1465. This model was created from six images captured by Dave Tuck (NADRAP Team 2) in October 2007 and forms part of the NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council for safekeeping.
