Carpet rake...back scratcher
thingiverse
I designed this tool for my wife to use on the rug fringe, eliminating her need to use her fingernails. This 3D printer project has turned out to be extremely useful! I initially had ABS loaded but decided PLA would work just as well. It's made specifically to fit a 1/4" wood dowel rod. To ensure a tight fit, I wrapped it with plain paper and secured it with CA glue. My wife is thrilled; no more tedious fingernail combing of the rug. Design Process Creating this rake head involved several steps. As an AutoCAD expert, I used my go-to program for basic shapes and arrangements. Next, I imported the model file into Fusion360 to make modifications and enhancements such as beveling the edges. Finally, the file was exported as an STL for use in Simplify3D.
