Carpet leveling risers for IKEA BRIMNES wardrobe

<p>This is a remix of <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3480183">this thingiverse model</a> of replacement feet for the <a href="https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/brimnes-wardrobe-with-2-doors-white-40400478/">IKEA BRIMNES wardrobe</a>. The main change I made was to add a shallow chamfer to the short sides, to facilitate being slid on carpet.</p><p><strong>How to print</strong>:</p><ul><li>3 perimeters w/ 15% infill</li><li>Variable layer height: most can be done at 0.20mm+, but the chamfer is smoother at lower heights.</li><li>Print with posts facing down, using supports<ul><li>Printing with posts up leads to a rough surface on the chamfer due to overhang,</li><li>Printing sideways would align layers in such a way to make the feet vulnerable to shear forces.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Reflections</strong></p><p>I printed 20+ of these in the process of leveling two wardrobes, because the process involved multiple intertwined factors:</p><ol><li>Left/right level</li><li>Front/back level</li><li>Diagonal skew (this causes the frame to twist, and hence the doors to not sit flush)</li><li>Relative height between two wardrobes sitting next to each other</li></ol><p>If I were starting from scratch, I would split these into three parts, and assemble with a metal nut:</p><ol><li>A chamfered bottom plate (for sliding)</li><li>A middle block (for leveling)</li><li>Two cylindrical rods (to run through pieces and into base of wardrobe)</li></ol><p>This would make iterations much quicker, as the main part that needs to be tweaked is the middle block, while the slowest parts of the print are the chamfered plate and the supports for the rods, which would be unnecessary if assembled.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
