Carpet Grips ( Rugs )

Carpets / Rug Grips : We've faced issues keeping heavy mats in place, so I designed printable grips with spikes on one side and double-sided tape on the other. They've exceeded expectations. These grips come in three sizes: 200 x 65, 250 x 65, and 275 x 65. They can be printed using almost any size printer, but longer, thinner designs work better than larger squares. The effectiveness of these grips may vary depending on carpet thickness and the type of double-sided tape used. Thinner tape tends to perform better. Before applying the grip, clean its back with methylated spirits and attach the double-sided tape. Insert the spike side into the carpet and place your rug on top, securing it by stomping or using a rubber mallet. We've successfully printed grips using ABS, PLA, and PETG filaments. Optimal settings include layer thickness of 0.2mm, 15% infill, and a print speed of 50mm/s. Since appearance isn't crucial, you can adjust the speed to ensure the spikes turn out correctly.
