On Pinterest, I discovered a plan which I slightly modified to create an animated automata. Solidworks 2016 was used for modeling and Simlab Composer 7 Mechanical Edition for rendering. Frames were edited using Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP. MyMP4BoxGui remuxed the video into MP4 format, while PhotoScape created the gifs. IrfanView was used to edit renders. The 3D-PDF, ZIM, and SIMLAB files are all animated. Simlab Viewer app displays the ZIM file on IOS and Android devices. Model is available in various formats including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 7, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM.
