Carpenter's square retainer

Carpenter's square retainer

thingiverse

I acquired this carpenter's square tool set which featured a protractor and a centering tool. All of them connect to the slide ruler, but you can't utilize all of them simultaneously. Consequently, typically two must be removed in order to use the remaining one. This is an affordable set, not a Starrett. The retaining bolt simply falls out along with its spring when not attached to the slide. So I duplicated the ruler/slide to use as a retainer whenever the specific element is not in use. After that, I realized the centering tool didn't require a graduated ruler, so I created a longer retainer (scaled in the slicer) for it. A minor yet useful 3D printed item.
