Carpenter's Pencil

The carpenter’s pencil is used to make marks on rough or course surfaces, like wood, concrete or even stone. They usually have an octagonal or oval body profile, which prevents the pencil from rolling when placed on work surfaces. Sturdily built, you will often find them in use in workshops or on construction sites and they can easily handle being tossed carelessly in a tool box. Carpenter’s pencil’s are generally sharpened with knife.
